101 West Ponce is a six-story, 105K RSF workplace located adjacent to Downtown Decatur’s Historic Square. Under the active direction of The RMR Group, 101 West Ponce is undergoing thoughtful renovations including façade enhancements, a holistic signage and art wall program, as well as open air plaza activation. Nimble. is proud to partner with RMR and the 101 West Ponce team, leading discovery, brand development, launch-to-market brand extensions and ongoing marketing support.
A new-to-market full-building opportunity in the highly walkable, lovable city of Decatur, we resolved to align 101 West Ponce to the energy of Decatur Square based on research and gathered insights. Through brand messaging development, we shaped an accessible, local story with a strong sense of place. Through identity development, we developed a visual language that felt genuine to the area of Decatur and fed off the liveliness of the Square. The type mark was created as a connector to blend the legacy of the building itself with the local flair of its surrounding area. It features a condensed, angular type that is bold and eye catching for a statement along West Ponce when introduced into future signage and wayfinding programs. We continued our exploration with a developed illustration style to compliment the mark’s angular type treatment. Embracing the brand’s vibrant palette and expressive style, we highlighted a curated mix of favorite Decatur amenities to elevate and educate end-users on the benefits of 101’s signature location.
These interactive illustrations further translated into motion graphics when extended into the project’s website — a living platform for construction progress, space availabilities and up-to-date marketing information at 101WestPonce.com
